Shakur Stevenson Vs. Edwin De Los Santos Pre-Fight Presser

Shakur Stevenson and Edwin De Los Santos held their final pre-fight presser ahead of their vacant WBC lightweight title fight on November 16th, 2023.

Stevenson will aim to become a three-division champion against De Los Santos, who is looking to grab his first world title. The belt became vacant after Devin Haney moved up to 140, leaving Shakur as the mandatory to face the next-highest-ranked fighter. Potential fights against Vasiliy Lomachenko and Frank Martin failed as De Los Santos stepped in.

Stevenson’s only fight at 135 was against Shuichiro Yoshino, as he stopped the Japanese in impressive fashion with a sixth-round TKO. Meanwhile, De Los Santos has only suffered one defeat, which came against William Foster. Since then, the boxer has stopped Luis Acosta and Jose Valenzuela as he enters the fight with a win over Joseph Adorno.

In the co-main event, Emanuel Navarrete faces Robson Conceição as he puts his WBO junior lightweight title on the line. The former secured the belt after beating Liam Wilson, which was followed up with a defense against Oscar Valdez. In contrast, Conceição’s two defeats have been against Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez. With that being said, here were the key moments from the presser.
