UPDATE: Elvis Rodriguez vs. Larry Fryers is off the card as Rodriguez tested positive for COVID-19.
Shakur Stevenson vs. Toka Kahn Clary is on its way.
On Saturday night, December 12, Top Rank Boxing will host a card that will showcase future stars of boxing. Headlining the event will be a junior-lightweight battle between Stevenson and Clary. Stevenson is the mandatory WBO Junior-Lightweight Title challenger. If he defeats Clary, he’ll be eyeing the winner of champion Jamel Herring vs. Carl Frampton.
The co-main event will see Felix Verdejo collide with Masayoshi Nakatani. Verdejo is looking to extend his winning streak to five. Nakatani, who gave Teofimo Lopez some problems in a losing effort in his last outing, is in search of his 19th pro victory.
One of boxing’s fastest rising stars, Edgar Berlanga, will also compete on Saturday. He will go one-on-one with Ulises Sierra. Berlanga’s record stands at a perfect 15-0. All 15 of those victories have ended in the first round via knockout or TKO.
The main card will get started with Elvis Rodriguez vs. Larry Fryers. Rodriguez is 24 years old and has a pro record of 10-0-1. As for Fryers, he is 11-3 and looking to snap a two-fight skid.
