Shane Burgos Out, Sheymon Moraes In Vs. Marlon Moraes In PFL Bout

Burgos must postpone his PFL debut after suffering an injury.

Shane Burgos’s PFL debut was postponed, and his fight was canceled due to injury.

Burgos, a former UFC fighter, was about to make his debut against another former UFC fighter, Marlon Moraes in the featherweight division.

Burgos left the UFC after being on a two-fight winning streak. He held war against Billy Quarantillo and earned a unanimous decision victory in a very close fight.

However, in the battle with Charles Jourdan, he won, but had a very hard final round, where Jourdan almost finished him.

“It was not an easy decision,” Burgos told Helwani on The MMA Hour.

“It was an offer I couldn’t turn it up. I’ve got two daughters, I’ve got to go back home, I’ve got to look at them in the face when it’s all said and done in this sport. With this deal I feel like that will secure that. “

Moraes did not choose to leave the UFC, but he was forced.

The former title challenger earned only one victory in his last six bouts. He defeated Jose Aldo via split decision, but some fans think that Also was robbed in that fight.

He suffered defeats against the top contenders of the division, like Cory Sandhagen, Merab Dvalishvili, Yadong Song and Rob Font, in a row, and each of those fighters is leading the division right now.

Still, he suffered four KO/TKO losses in a row.

Sheymon Moraes will now step in place for Burgos on the November 25 card.
