Shavkat Rakhmonov Vs. Jack Della Maddalena To Headline UFC Dallas?

Unbeaten UFC welterweight contender Shavkat Rakhmonov (19-0) is reportedly being lined up to face former champion Jack Della Maddalena (18-4) in a potential UFC Dallas main event.

Rakhmonov has not competed since December 2024, when he defeated Ian Machado Garry by unanimous decision at UFC 310. The Kazakh fighter was previously in contention for a welterweight championship opportunity, but injuries have kept him sidelined since that win.

Della Maddalena, meanwhile, is seeking another opportunity to challenge for the title after losing his championship to Islam Makhachev in November 2025.

The reported matchup comes amid changes to the UFC’s title picture in the 170-pound division.

Makhachev’s expected January defense against Carlos Prates is no longer taking place, with Prates instead facing undefeated contender Michael Morales for the interim title on January 30 in Toronto.

A separate welterweight matchup between Machado Garry and Yaroslav Amosov has also been reported for UFC 335 on December 12.
