Shevchenko Set For Third Title Defense

After two successful defenses, Valentina Shevchenko is ready to return to the Octagon this February.

The current flyweight champion is set to defend on February 8th against top challenger Katlyn Chookagian at a card that is set to be either UFC 246 or UFC  247 depending on if Conor McGregor’s alleged January 18th return is finalized.

The card is alleged to have Derrick Lewis returning to action for the first time since UFC 244 and is eyed to be in Houston, Texas, where Lewis lives and trains.

Shevchenko is currently on a four-fight winning streak and has fought twice in defense of her title in 2018, defeating Jessica Eye and Liz Carmouche.

Chookagian has won five of her last six, including her most recent win at UFC 244 over Jennifer Maia.
