Shobox: The New Generation To Kick Off 2022 With A Tripleheader Event
ShoBox: The New Generation will hold its first event of the coming year on Friday, January 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT from Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida.
A tripleheader, which features six undefeated fighters, will be the highlight of the mega event.
Dominican Republic’s Luis Nunez (15-0, 11 KOs) has been handed his second ShoBox fight against Puerto Rico’s Carlos Arrieta (14-0, 8 KOs). The 10-round lightweight will be the main event. Nunez made his ShoBox debut in September.
Castillo (16-0, 12 KOs) will be seen in action against Otar Eranosyan (10-0, 6 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight bout that will serve as the co-feature.
Castillo, 26, is coming off a knockout victory over then-unbeaten star, Miguel Contrer. Castillo won on his US debut in July in the second round.
Edwin De Los Santos (13-0, 12 KOs) and William Foster III (12-0, 8 KOs) will share the ring to kick off the telecast in an eight-round super featherweight bout. Los Santos is known for his vicious knockout power.
Veteran MMA ace Brian Campbell and ex-world champion Raul Marquez will join as expert analysts. Hall of Famer Steve Farhood will perform his duties remotely. Sampson Boxing will promote the ShoBox event.
