Showtime Announces Early 2018 Boxing Schedule
Following Wednesday’s announcement that Stephen Espinoza had been promoted to President of Sports and Live Events, Showtime also unveiled the first half of fights scheduled for 2018.
Some of the highlights include the recently confirmed Deontay Wilder- Luis Ortiz and Jermall Charlo- Hugo Centeno Jr double bill on March 3rd, the rescheduled Mikey Garcia and Sergey Lipinets title fight on March 10th, as well as scheduled fights featuring Keith Thurman (May 19th), and Errol Spence Jr. (June 16th).
The 2018 schedule in partnership with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions features 13 title fights, including a unification battle between WBA super-welterweight title holder Erislandy Lara and IBF champion Jarrett Hurd, and a light heavyweight title battle between WBC champion Adonis Stevenson and former two division champion Badou Jack.
