The WBC is planning on making sure that the winner of the Jake Paul–Tommy Fury bout will have their own belt.
The two fighters will battle it out in the boxing ring on February 26th, 2023, at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia. They were due to box each other on two occasions, but it was to no avail.
They were initially slated to battle it out in December 2021. However, Fury had to back out due to a rib injury he got while training.
The encounter was then arranged for August 2022, yet again, Fury had to call it off as he was facing visa problems, thus unable to enter America.

Paul began his professional boxing career in 2018. He has yet to lose a match, but his undefeated status comes with an asterisk due to the fact that his six victories have all been against non-professional fighters.
Meanwhile, Fury has yet to encounter a real challenge in the ring, as all his opponents have been low-quality fighters, one of which included a taxi driver.
But given that the WBC has also reportedly indicated that the winner will be ranked, there is plenty on the line. And yet, that did not prevent the boxing fans from feeling outraged.
