Social Media Reacts To Floyd Mayweather Vs. Aaron Chalmers Pay-Per-View Price-‘No One Paying For That’
Broadcasted on the Zeus Network
On Saturday, February 25th 2023, Floyd Mayweather will take on Aaron Chalmers, a former reality TV star and now an MMA fighter/boxer, at the O2 in London in his latest exhibition bout.
Money Mayweather has forged a niche for himself since his post-retirement career in fighting non-professional boxers around the globe. Some of the names on his resume include Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji.
While the boxing community has been split on these bouts, they have unanimously been vocal against the cost of Mayweather’s latest pay-per-view.
To witness Mayweather Vs. Chalmers, a UK fan, will have to shell out £32.26, with the bout being broadcasted on the Zeus Network. This is higher than the recent Usyk-Joshua world heavyweight title fights, priced at £24.95 and £26.95, respectively.
With fans lamenting the number of pay-per-view fights, is the price point tenable amid a cost-of-living crisis for what, in all intents and purposes, will be a Mayweather sparring match?
The 20,000-seater stadium may still attract a packed-out crowd given the aura surrounding the Mayweather name, but as for it being a spectacle, that is an entirely different matter.
