Social Media Reacts To Usyk And Dubois’ Face-Off

Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois had their first face-off in the run-up to their fight on August 26th, 2023, in Wroclaw, Poland.

Usyk will be putting his WBA, WBO and IBF titles on the line against Dubois, who is looking to win his first world title.

The latter enters as the underdog, having scraped through his last fight with serious adversity. Despite stopping Kevin Lerena, the Brit had to get off the canvas three times to do it.

And in the process of doing so, Dubois overcame a knee injury which by all accounts has now healed, as he sensed ‘fear’ from Usyk.

Meanwhile, Usyk will be fighting in Poland with a pro crowd. The Ukrainian support makes its way to the country while boxing remains outside of the country due to the Russian conflict.

And yet, the perception before the fight was that Dubois’ only chance of victory would have been to pressure Usyk with his bigger physique.

However, when it came to the face-off, boxing fans were taken aback by the lack of difference in size between the pair.
