Sor Rungvisai-Estrada Rematch Eyed For April

Just a day after Srisaket Sor Rungvisai signed with Matchroom Boxing, Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions revealed that a deal is nearly made for a rematch between Sor Rungvisai and Zanfer promoted fighter Juan Francisco Estrada,

“Probably the rematch is April 6, we hope to see the Thai in Los Angeles and yes, most likely it is on DAZN,” said Fernando Beltrán to ESPN Deportes, during the award ceremony of the National Boxing Commission for WBO world super welterweight champion Jaime Munguía.

The two fighters faced off in an exciting showdown in early 2018, and was rumored to be rematched in late 2018, but talks stalled after HBO announced the end of it’s boxing programming.

Adding more fuel to the fire, the WBC ordered Sor Rungvisai to defend his super flyweight title against Estrada in a mandatory fight.
