Spence Activates His Rematch Clause With Crawford

Errol Spence Jr. has activated his rematch clause with Terence Crawford according to the latter’s trainer, Brian McIntyre (Bomac).

Bud beat Spence to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era. And as a result, Crawford became undisputed in a second weight class.

The manner of the victory was impressive, as Crawford dropped Spence three times before stopping him in the ninth round. In the aftermath of the fight, Spence indicated his desire to run things back at 154.

Although Crawford will decide the actual weight class, he has indicated his willingness to fight at 154 as Spence aims to avenge his defeat. And Bomac did confirm as much.

“He just texted me yesterday Spence activated his rematch [clause]. It’s confirmed. We don’t have a date yet,” Bomac

Despite this being the case, the social media response was very clear. Many expect Crawford to come out victorious once again due to Bud’s superior boxing skills.

And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
