Spence Calls Out Crawford’s Resume
Following he and Shawn Porter would agree to fight “the easiest fight you could make,” Errol Spence Jr. would take a seat at the post-fight press conference for Porter’s WBC welterweight championship win over Danny Garcia.
While sitting down to speak with reporters in the early hours of Sunday morning, Spence would call out Terence Crawford. The Dallas native claimed that “Me and Terence Crawford are on different sides of the street,” as it got close to 2 am in Brooklyn.
“I’m a way better fighter than Terence Crawford,” Spence stated. “A lot of stuff is smoke and mirrors, that’s what Bob Arum do, a lot of smoke and mirrors,” he continued, noting that he thinks Crawford has a weak résumé. “Bob Arum is a great promoter, smoke and mirrors.”
Spence would continue to pile on the Nebraskan champion, “like I said he’s on the wrong side of the street. I’m not going to ESPN,” he said, saying the big money is to be made on Showtime and FOX. “He gotta leave ESPN and come to Showtime and FOX.”
