Spence-Porter Likely For August 3rd In Brooklyn
While it won’t be against Canelo Alvarez, Errol Spence Jr. has a big money fight in his return, as he will attempt to unify against WBC welterweight champion Shawn Porter.
Per Mike Coppinger of Fox Sports/The Ring, the two will face off in a welterweight unification fight on August 3rd from Barclays Center for a PBC on FOX special, and not on Pay-Per-View.

Porter, who won the title against Danny Garcia in 2018, will return to where he won the title looking to stop the success of Spence, who defeated Mikey Garcia at AT&T Stadium earlier this year on Fox Sports’ first attempt at Pay-Per-View.
Porter was last seen in a hard-fought split-decision win over Yordenis Ugas on March 10th, one week before Spence would control and defeat Garcia in-front of 47,000 fans at AT&T Stadium and over 360,000 on pay-per-view.
