Spence Tells Amir Khan To Call Al Haymon

Earlier this week, Bob Arum claimed that a fight between Terence Crawford and Amir Khan would be possible, now Errol Spence Jr, may consider a fight with the Bolton born boxer.

The IBF welterweight champion said Khan “could be” a possible opponent for him in 2018.

When pressed about Crawford getting a fight with Khan first, Spence claimed  “I don’t know,… It could happen, man. They’ve gotta talk. I mean, Amir Khan got Al number.”

The Al in question is Spence’s current and Khan’s former adviser, Al Haymon.

Even though Bob Arum considers Khan a “free agent,” he signed a deal with Eddie Hearn earlier in 2018, and is looking to gain a fight with Kell Brook by the end of 2018.

Khan seems to be taking a patient approach to major fights, after taking two years away from the ring before demolishing Phil Lo Greco in under a minute back in April.

Aside from Brook having a fight slated against Brandon Cook on July 28th, the issue of weight classes come into play, as Khan fights at welterweight, and Brook has moved up to junior middleweight.
