Stallone: Mayweather-Pacquiao Will Happen

It seems a Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao rematch may be on the table… At least that’s what Sylvester Stallone is lead to believe.

The actor was asked by TMZ Sports his thoughts on a potential rematch of their 2015 showdown, which Mayweather won via unanimous decision, and believes the fight is happening.

“I think it’s about 99% certain it’s gonna happen,” Stallone said while leaving his wife Jennifer Flavin’s birthday dinner at Spago.

“They have every reason — honor, money, history and you got nothing better to do for the weekend.”

Stallone’s comments come following Pacquiao calling for a rematch with Mayweather following his July victory over Lucas Matthysse.

“Mayweather? If he decides to go back to boxing then that is the time we are going to call the shots,” Manny claimed Pacquiao after winning the WBA “regular” welterweight title from Matthysse.

“I have the belt, so it’s up to him. If he wants to come back in boxing let’s do a second one.”
