Streaming Platform Reacts To Dana White’s Piracy Prosecution Comments

Dana White’s comments about prosecuting piracy have resulted in a response from streaming platform Stream East.

Piracy has become a problem of late, with the Saudis raising the issue following the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk Undisputed Heavyweight boxing fight. According to reports, broadcasters lost over $100 million. 18 percent of people reportedly streamed the fight illegally in the UK, but the number was 25 percent in North America. The Saudis hope to create a less than $20 PPV price worldwide. White took things further by demanding legal action, forcing the streaming platform to respond, as they have streamed combat sports fights for free. The platform felt it was time for White to give back to the fans and fighters by paying them more. 

“Trust me, we know exactly how to combat piracy. I won’t tell you extensively what we do every event, but we go after piracy hard and you saw a few years ago we started prosecuting people. That’s how you combat piracy. Start f**king prosecuting people for stealing. There ya’ go,” White stated
