Strickland Claims He Has Been Banned From UFC White House Event
UFC’s only current American male champion, current middleweight titleholder Sean Strickland (31-7) has claimed he has been banned from attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14, stating the decision stems from his previous political comments.
“The only male American champ banned at the White House. I’m not surprised, but I got the call. I got the call. The UFC higher-ups called me, you know, the big names,” Strickland
Strickland reclaimed the UFC middleweight title last month with a split decision victory over Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 328 main event. While Sean was overlooked for being featuring on the UFC White House card, his ban from the event has added another blow. However, Sean has said he will do a peaceful protest near the venue.
“I’m gonna get a bull horn and we’re gonna go right up to the gates. So, if you guys are going to be there, let’s go. Not in a threatening way, we’re gonna do a peaceful protest,” Strickland added
