Suspect In Blanchard Case Denied Bond
In an update of the disappearance of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris’ stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard, the man charged with her kidnapping stood before a judge on Wednesday.
Ibraheem Yazeed appeared in an Alabama courtroom on Wednesday in a preliminary hearing for charges of kidnapping in the first degree following witnesses identified Yazeed as the man who allegedly seen forcing Blanchard into her vehicle against her will.
JudgeRussell Bush ordered that Yazeed submit to DNA testing found forensic evidence matching DNA to both Blanchard and that of a man inside the victim’s 2017 Honda CR-V, the blood found on the scene is alleged to be “indicative of someone suffering a life-threatening injury.”
Yazeed was denied a bond request and has been remanded in an Alabama jail. Yazeed was out on bail for a sperate case, where he was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and robbery, which was revoked.
Due to a gag order Blanchard’s family is unable to speak about the hearing, which has been requested to be lifted. A hearing on the gag order has been set for December 4th.
As of now, Blanchard is still missing and police are asking for any information on her whereabouts to be reported to police at 334-501-3140, the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391 or the 24-hour non-emergency number at 334-501-3100 with an award currently standing at $105,000 for any information regarding Blanchard’s disappearance.
