T-Mobile Offering Refunds For Canelo-GGG
In a story first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, MGM Resorts International is preparing for the May 5th Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin rematch to be cancelled.
As of Wednesday, the T-Mobile Arena is offering full refunds for the fight, per an MGM official who spoke to the newspaper this week.
“In the event a fan requested a refund, they could get one at the original point of sale and in full,” the text read.
This news follows last week’s report that the Nevada State Athletic Commission had temporarily suspended Alvarez for testing positive twice for clenbuterol, which Alvarez blamed on Mexican beef.
Alvarez will have a hearing on April 10th with the commission, which may very well determine the fate of the highly anticipated May 5th rematch.
While the MGM, T-Mobile Arena, and Alvarez’ opponent, Gennady Golovkin are searching for alternative, Alvarez is continuing his training in San Diego, California
