Tanks Davis Will KO Lomachenko – Says Trainer Kenny Ellis

Gervonta Davis trainer Kenny Ellis expects his fighter to stop Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Rumors of a fight have been growing following Davis’ last performance. Tank stopped Frank Martin in round eight to retain his WBA Lightweight Belt. In the post-fight presser, Davis wanted the biggest fights, including Loma. The Ukrainian became a world champion again, stopping George Kambosos Jr. in his last fight to win the vacant IBF Lightweight Belt.

Davis will fancy his chances of stopping Loma. Out of his 30 wins, 28 of those were by KOs. Loma is also near the end of his career. The 36-year-old has slowed down from five years ago when he dominated the sport. Ellis has already begun studying Loma to set up a solid game plan. Ellis felt his fighter would have too much for Loma.

“Phase 3 Studying Lomachenko: Why all of a sudden are these Lomachenko highlight videos popping up? Are they supposed to be intimidating or something? He won’t see the 12th with Gervonta Davis,” Kenny Ellis said

Davis is the heavy favorite, but Loma showed in his last fight that he could turn back the clock, leaving setting up a tantalizing match up.
