Tatsuro Taira Set To Welcome Jesus Santos Aguilar To UFC In February
The fight is set to take place in South Korea.
The rising Japanese fighting talent Tatsuro Taira passed both his UFC tests comfortably and now has a chance to make it three on the bounce.
The opponent for the Japanese sensation is Dana White’s Contender Series signee Jesus Santos Aguilar (8-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). The fight is scheduled on November 4 as part of the UFC Fight Night event taking place in South Korea.
After the initial reports from ESPN, the match was confirmed by an individual aware of the bookings. However, he has chosen to stay silent over it because the promotions haven’t made any official announcement yet.
The 22-year-old Taira made his debut in May, where he bossed Carlos Candelario for a unanimous decision win.
He backed up that win by picking up his first finish in the promotion as he submitted C.J. Vergara via a second-round armbar. After the match, the Japanese predicted that he was three wins away from securing a UFC title shot.
On the other hand, Aguilar will make his UFC debut with a lot of confidence. He has earned his UFC contract after some impressive performances.
Popular for his guillotine choke, the 26-year-old put his contract on display when he submitted Erisson Ferreira in August.
