Taylor And Catterall Stare Each Other Down During Final Presser

Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall held their final pre-fight presser ahead of their fight on Saturday.

The clash is a rerun of their fight in 2022, which Taylor won via a controversial split decision. The consensus was that Catterall had been robbed of the chance to become the Undisputed Junior Welterweight Champion. Taylor would then vacate the belts, except for the WBO, preventing Catterall from getting that undisputed chance again.

While a Taylor-Catterall rematch was meant for the last year, the Scot withdrew with a foot injury. On his return, Taylor boxed Teofimo Lopez instead, losing his WBO belt. Catterall bounced back from the Taylor loss to win his next two fights, beating Darragh Foley and Jorge Linares. The Taylor-Catterall rematch was then meant for April 27, only for Taylor to withdraw with an eye injury. This time around, Catterall hopes to go one better and beat Taylor.
