Taylor Vs. Serrano 2 Called Off-Here’s What We Know
The scheduled bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano on May 20th, 2023, in Dublin, is not happening due to an injury sustained by the latter.
Taylor triumphed in a remarkable first clash with Serrano last April at a jam-packed Madison Square Garden via a split decision, thereby keeping her undisputed lightweight world champion title.
And the rematch promised much, as Taylor was about to have her first professional boxing match in her hometown of Dublin. As of now, talks are taking place for a new date.

People were hoping to have Taylor and Serrano fight again at Croke Park with a crowd of over 80,000, but Taylor’s promoter Eddie Hearn refused because the event cost was three times higher than Wembley.
Despite this, Conor McGregor wanted to see Taylor fight again in Croke Park and was willing to spend €500,000 to make it happen. But this new news has understandably left fans disappointed.

Extremely disappointing and I really can't see what will change a few months later for Eddie to allow this fight to happen in Croke Park with the money needed

Damn it, was looking forward to this big one, but injuries happen off course so would be best if both fighters fight at full fitness too. We wait patiently and see whats up for another appointment etc. Go Katie, the best fighter on the planet 🥊🥊🥊

Dammit….. I was looking forward to it 😞 However, it's better for Amanda to go in against Katie Taylor in great health rather than poor health.
