Teofimo Lopez Has A Suggestion For Vasiliy Lomachenko

Teofimo Lopez has offered some advice for Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Lopez took on Lomachenko back in October. Lopez defeated “Loma” via unanimous decision to capture the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and WBC (Franchise) Lightweight Titles. “The Takeover” has expressed his belief that he isn’t interested in a rematch with Lomachenko and would rather move on to other top-ranked lightweights or move up to light-welterweight.

During his appearance on Brian Custer’s The Last Stand Podcast, Lopez shared a piece of advice for Lomachenko going forward (via Bad Left Hook).

“No need because we could do it a hundred times and Teofimo comes out victorious a hundred times. He (Lomachenko) needs to just go back to where he’s more comfortable and where he’s more fit at and I think 130 would be his best suit for the rest of his career.”

Lopez and Lomachenko are both in the process of recovery from surgery. Lopez underwent surgery on his right foot, while Lomachenko had to go under the knife for his shoulder. Lopez is hoping to make his return in the spring. He’s hoping that fans will be allowed in attendance by the time he returns so he can compete inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
