Teofimo Lopez, Sandor Martin Make Weight, Celebrates With Wonka Chocolate Bar

They meet in the main event on Saturday night.

Teofimo Lopez’s second fight at junior welterweight is set.

Lopez weighed in at 139.2 pounds while his opponent, Sandor Martin, tipped the scales at 139.8 pounds.

Lopez went second to weigh in. After it was announced that he successfully made weight, he pulled out a Wonka chocolate bar, from film “Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory,” and took a bite out of it.

When he bit it, he revealed a golden ticket, which in the movie, is only available for five people.

The two faced off after making weight, but it was the two did not need to be separated by security this time.

At Thursday’s press conference, Martin said that he has not seen anything impressive from Lopez. Martin stepped in as a replacement on a three week’s notice after original opponent Jose Pedraza withdrew due to an illness.

Yesterday, Lopez told the media, including FIGHT SPORTS, that he didn’t even want to fight Pedraza, mainly because he was coming off of a draw again former lightweight champion Richard Commey.

Martin won his last contest against Jose Felix Jr, but scored his career-best a fight before that where he upset former welterweight champion Mikey Garcia.

Lopez-Martin kicks off Saturday night in the main event at Madison Square Garden.
