Teofimo Lopez To Devin Haney: ‘I’m Gonna F*ck You Up’

Teofimo Lopez continues to express his disdain for Devin Haney.

Lopez is the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, The Ring, and WBC (Franchise) Champion. Haney holds the standard WBC gold. Haney has said that Lopez can’t be considered the undisputed lightweight champion until he fights him.

Lopez is not a fan of Haney and has gone as far as to say “The Dream” is “pissing me off.” During an appearance on Sirius XM and DAZN Boxing’s The Ak & Barak Show, Lopez said he’s prepared to put Haney in a world of hurt (via BoxingScene.com).

“I think it got to the point where I’m just fed up. Me and my pops, we’re fed up. And I just said, ‘Man, let’s press this dude. I don’t care what it’s gotta take.’ You know, I’m gonna respect the fact that Kambosos is my mandatory. We’re gonna work on that part, because I’ve gotta get that part first. But if things go south, like I said, man, Devin, be ready, my man, because I’m gonna f–k you up! Straight up!”

Lopez is currently in talks to fight mandatory challenger George Kambosos. “The Takeover” has claimed that talks appear to be falling apart. Kambosos has denied that something is amiss. Top Rank Boxing’s Bob Arum has said he doesn’t believe Lopez vs. Kambosos will take place in Australia until the pandemic ends.

As far as Haney goes, he has two mandatory challengers. They are interim WBC Lightweight Champion Ryan Garcia and Javier Fortuna. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Lopez and Haney.
