Teofimo Lopez Vs. Pedro Campa Will Happen In Las Vegas

Teofimo Lopez is returning to Las Vegas.

The former unified lightweight champion will take on veteran Pedro Campa on August 13 at the Resorts World in Las Vegas. It will be Lopez’s debut at super welterweight.

In Lopez’s (16-1, 12 KOs) last outing, he lost his three lightweight belts to underdog George Kambosos Jr in one of the biggest upsets of 2021.

Lopez had gained the titles with an upset win of his own over Vasiliy Lomachenko in October 2020.

But those straps have yet again found a new owner – Devin Haney. Haney overcame Kambosos earlier this month with a unanimous decision win against the Australian boxer.

Campa (33-1-1, 22 KOs) will be fighting in the U.S. for the first time. He last defeated Carlos Sanchez by TKO in the third round.
