Teremoana Scores 12th Straight KO, Targeted For Fury-Joshua Undercard
Matchroom chairman Eddie Hearn is already planning the return of unbeaten Australian heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana (12-0, 12 KOs).
The 28-year-old dropped DeAndre Savage with a jab-right hand combination before stopping him in the second round of their heavyweight fight on August 12 at The Star on the Gold Coast, Australia. The stoppage came at 1:26 of the second round.
In a statement sent to FIGHT SPORTS, Teremoana revealed where he expects to compete next.
“I’ve heard along the grapevine I should be on the Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury undercard ’cause that’s the heavyweights giving up their mantle. So it will be good to get us new generation there and just show them that us Aussie’s got the thunder from Down Under.”
Speaking afterward, Hearn confirmed that is the plan.
“That is definitely the plan, but we have got to step up the opposition.”
The proposed Joshua-Fury fight is currently being targeted for November.
