Terence Crawford Back In Training
Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) posted a video Thursday showing him stretching, exercising with weights, and throwing punches at renowned padman, Bernie ‘Tha Boxer’ Davis.
For years, Davis was Crawford’s right-hand man and a core part of his team while the fighter traversed numerous weight classes to become a five-division world champion with key victories over Errol Spence Jr. (28-2-0, 22 KOs) and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs). In the clip Crawford posted, Davis can be heard saying he’d happily narrate for ‘Bud,’ who, he said, just wanted to be in his “happy place” — the boxing gym, alongside other fighters.
Crawford captioned the post to say he’d returned to his “favorite place in the world.” However, the timing of the video coincides with one of his old rivals, ‘Canelo,’ reiterating his desire to lure the American back into the ring for the right price.
Crawford defeated ‘Canelo’ by unanimous decision in 2025 and retired from the sport shortly after. Earlier this month, ‘Canelo’ said it would be “amazing” to fight Crawford once again for a $100 million sum. Alvarez fights for the first time since that loss when he boxes Christian Mbilli on October 31 in Riyadh.
