Terence Crawford Celebrates As His Son Wins Nebraska Wrestling Gold
Three-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford watched his son, Terence Crawford Jr., win his first Nebraska high school state wrestling championship.
Watching from the stands at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Crawford—who retired last year following his win over Canelo Alvarez to become undisputed at 168—watched his son dominate the Class A finals. Competing for Omaha North High School, Crawford Jr. entered the tournament with plenty of pressure. Despite his youth, he showcased his skills when it mattered.
In the championship match, Crawford Jr. faced Riley Pedersen of Grand Island. He controlled the match from the whistle, securing a 13-1 major decision to claim the gold. While Crawford made his name in boxing, his roots in combat sports began with wrestling. Bud was delighted to see his son succeed in the same way.

“It feels great. I came here and I had to do what I had to do. I just had to be dominant out there… I expect what I train for so if I know I’m training hard and I’m training harder than everybody else, then the results will show,” Crawford Jr. said
