Terence Crawford Vs. Shawn Porter Pay-Per-View Set For November 20
Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter are officially set for Saturday, November 20 and Top Rank chairman Bob Arum is comparing the welterweight showdown to something of the 1980s and 1990s.
Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) will defend his WBO welterweight title and put his unbeaten record on the line when he meets Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) in the ring at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight will be promoted by Top Rank and TGB Promotions. It will be a Top Rank PPV, exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S. at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Crawford is a three-weight world champion who has made four title defenses since knocking off Jeff Horn in June 2018. He is the first boxer in the four-belt era to become the undisputed junior welterweight champion.
The 34-year-old has an eight-fight knockout streak, which dates to July 2016 over Viktor Postol.
Porter has been in the pros for 13 years. He previously scored victory over then-undefeated Devon Alexander for the IBF welterweight title. In his first title defense, he knocked out two-weight world champion Paulie Malignaggi.
The 35-year-old once donned the WBC world welterweight title after going the distance with Yordenis Ugas, but dropped the two titles in a split decision loss to Errol Spence Jr.
The undercard for November 20 has yet to be announced.
