Tevin Farmer Shot In Hand During Party

Junior lightweight Tevin Farmer and his brother were shot during a domestic dispute this past weekend in Philadelphia. Per RingTV, Farmer was set to travel to the Barclays Center to attend the fight between Adrien Broner and Mikey Garcia, but was first at his niece’s birthday party.

According to Farmer’s promoter Lou DiBella, the father of Farmer’s niece left the party following an altercation, the father would return with some friends, one of whom was carrying a gun. During an attempt to disarm one of the men, Farmer was shot in his hand, while Farmer’s brother was grazed near his eye.

The Junior Lightweight is expected to be out for the next few months recovering from the wound, which did not break any bones or tear any tendons as the bullet went clean through the fighter’s hand.

Farmer, who is currently the fifth ranked fighter by the IBF has been openly campaigning for a title shot against world champion Gervonta Davis, who is set to fight on the undercard for the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight on August 26th in Las Vegas.
