The Rock Shares New Country-Influenced Song “Your Dad”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has expanded beyond wrestling and acting by recording new music for Moana: Voices Across the Ocean.

The former WWE star has released “Your Dad,” an emotional country-influenced song dedicated to his three daughters. It was co-written with 2023 American Idol winner Iam Tongi, executive produced with Johnson’s wife Lauren Hashian and accompanied by a video featuring family footage.

Tongi originally wrote the track about his late father, but Johnson asked to reshape it around his daughters because of the complicated relationship he shared with his own father, wrestling legend Rocky Johnson.

Johnson has previously performed songs for Moana and appeared alongside rapper Tech N9ne, but country music remains a major influence from his teenage years in Nashville.

“Your Dad” marks another career move for one of professional wrestling’s biggest crossover stars.
