Thiago Santos Vs. Jamahal Hill Goes Down On August 6

Another big fight is now officially on the cards.

On August 6 as Thiago Santos (22-10-0) is set to lock horns with Jamahal Hill (10-1-0) for the UFC light heavyweight battle.

Hill has become a rising contender in recent weeks.

The development means that Santos will be participating in four of the last five UFC main events. The Brazilian would be looking forward to bouncing back from a unanimous decision loss against Magomed Ankalaev two months ago.

The 38-year-old secured a much-needed win against Johnny Walker in just one fight after squaring off against juggernauts of the company such as Jon Jones, Glover Teixeira and Aleksandar Rakic.

Santos competed against Jones for the light heavyweight title at UFC 239 but lost by a split decision.

Despite having injuries across both of his legs during this fight, the Brazilian battled through five intense rounds and created problems for Jones.

Hill will present Santos with another hefty challenge, who is coming on the back of some serious wins against Jimmy Crute and Walker.

The only defeat in the Rio de Janeiro native’s career has come against Paul Craig at UFC 263. In that fight, he was suffering from an arm injury and got extinguished with strikes from a guard.
