This Is How Kell Brook Envisions Amir Khan Fight

Kell Brook wants to defeat Amir Khan, but in an emphatic way.

Brook meets Khan Saturday in England after a longstanding rivalry – one that hasn’t softened at all over time. He’s looking for a highlight-reel knockout.

“I want a sensational knockout,” Brook told Boxing Scene.

“I would love a Canelo knockout, you know, what Canelo gave him. You know, you don’t get paid for overtime in this game and I’m looking, obviously, to hurt him and to end the show.”

Alvarez scored a devastating knockout over Khan back in May 2016. It left Khan laid out on the canvas. Alvarez is regarded as one of the most known knockout artists and defensive fighters in the sport.

Khan (34-5, 21 KOs) has fought four times since facing Alvarez, but will end a two-and-a-half-year layoff when he faces Brook. He last stopped Billy Dib in the fourth round of their July 2019 fight.

Brook (37-3, 29 KOs) last fought in November 2020 against current WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford who beat him in the fourth round via TKO.

Brook vs Khan will headline the Sky Sports PPV, which will stream on ESPN+ and starts at 1 p.m. ET.
