This Is Urijah Faber’s Favorite Text Of All Time From Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen has always been a trash talker in the octagon, but he’s also one outside of the octagon.

Urijah Faber experienced this firsthand when he suffered a loss in a title and Sonnen sent him a text message to offer his sympathy – but it wasn’t sympathetic at all.

“My favorite text from Chael [Sonnen] of all time – I can’t remember which fight it was, but it was a big fight, for a world championship, and I lost. He said, ‘Urijah, I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve never lost, can’t relate,’” Faber told Ariel Helwani.

Chael Sonnen (30-17), 44, is regarded as one of the best trash talkers before Conor McGregor. But after the Irishman arrived in the company, the competition level increased a lot, and fighters started acting like them.

The hype around the fights increased, and MMA and the UFC itself moved to another level.

Ironically, Sonnen has lost in all of his title fights.

Faber (35-11), 42, has witnessed almost everything inside the octagon. The only thing he wanted and could not do was win the gold of the UFC. However, many fans argue he still remains one of the uncrowned kings of the UFC.

After suffering defeat in his previous bout against Petr Yan, he retired once again but still thinks about coming back.
