This UFC Fighter Is The Hardest Puncher Khabib Nurmagomedov Ever Faced

To Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje stands out to him.

Gaethje (23-3) is the hardest puncher Nurmagomedov’s ever faced, he said.

“This guy [Justin Gaethje] hit like a truck, you know,” Nurmagomedov told Mike Tyson on his Hotboxin’ podcast. “Nobody hit me harder than Justin Gaethje. His kick, his punch, his left hook, right hook, right uppercut.”

Gaethje was the last person Nurmagomedov fought back in October 2020. Nurmagomedov, who successfully defended his lightweight title with the victory over Gaethje, announced his retirement moments after.

Nurmagomedov, who retired undefeated (29-0), announced the news following his father’s death, saying he could not be in the octagon without him.

Gaethje, meanwhile, recently came off a dominant and bloody war with Michael Chandler on November 6. Gaethje fought his way to a unanimous decision victory.

Charles Oliveira won the vacant belt by defeating Michael Chandler and is set to defend it against Dustin Poirier.

Now, Gaethje is just waiting for his title shot.
