Three Title Matches Headline GLORY 66
GLORY Kickboxing returns to Paris on June 22nd, with three title matches headlining the card from the Zénith de Paris – La Villette.
The main event will see welterweight champion Cedric Doumbe return to his native France in a GLORY 51 rematch against Alim Nabiyev.
Nabiev snagged the victory in their first meeting by split-decision, but now with Doumbe regaining the welterweight crown in March wth a second round stoppage of Harut Grigorian, the champion would seem to have the momentum.
While Doumbe has won 16 of his last 19 fights, Nabiyev has an impressive streak of his own, winning 14 of his last 16 fights, including a 5-1 record inside the GLORY ring.
Looking to maintain her hold on the women’s super bantamweight division, Anissa Meksen makes the second defense of her title against Sofia Olofsson in the co-main event.
Meksen, who lost the title in a split decision loss to Jady Menezes at GLORY 56, came back with a vengeance in November, stopping Menezes in the second round of their GLORY 61 battle.
The light heavyweight title acts as the headliner of GLORY 66’s SuperFight Series, as Artem Vakhitov looks for his fifth straight defense of the title against Donegi Abena.
