Add Keith Thurman to the list of people who want to fight Conor McGregor.
Thurman, who has been promoting his upcoming WBA “super” welterweight title defense against Manny Pacquiao, was asked by TMZ if he’d want to square off with the former two-division UFC champion.
“Box me, baby,” is what Thurman said to McGregor through the popular gossip site. “You know you make more money in the boxing ring anyway. Box me, Conor!”
“[In boxing], the advantage is do you have skills with the left? Do you have skills with the right? Do you have footwork? And, one thing [Conor] doesn’t have is conditioning! He does not have conditioning. He is not ready for these championship fights.”
“Floyd walked him down and beat him like he was playing ‘Fight Night, Thurman continued …
“He wanna talk that trash?! He wants to think actually got hands? Come on, man.”
McGregor was interested in facing Thurman’s opponent Manny Pacquiao, and there seemed to be interest from the Filipino senator, but talks never materialized.
