Thurman-Lopez Draws 2.4 Million On FOX

It was a good night for Keith Thurman, as not only did he retain his WBA “super” welterweight title against Josesito Lopez.

Per a report from Boxing Scene, The PBC on FOX tripleheader peaked with an audience of 2,765,000 during the final round of Thurman and Lopez’ main event fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The fight would draw an average of 2,480,000 viewers for the 12-round majority decision for Thurman in his first fight in nearly two years.

The number out drew December’s debut of PBC on FOX, which peaked at 2,421,000 during Jermall Charlo’s win over Matt Korobov, with an average of 1,971,000 viewers.

The entire tripleheader Saturday night averaged 2,170,000 viewers through the FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX streaming platforms.

The card’s prelim fights would draw an average of 212,000 viewers on FS1.
