Till Is Moving On Up For UFC 244
After disappointing showings at welterweight, Darren Till is hoping a move up to 185 pounds will set him back on the track to world title contention.
Till earned back to back losses at welterweight, first against then welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at UFC 228 and Jorge Masivdal at UFC London. Now, Till returns to middleweight on November 2nd, making his Madison Square Garden debut against Kelvin Gastelum.
Outside of the back-to-back losses, Till has suffered issues making the 170-pound limit, failing twice in eight of his fights for the Endeavor owned promotion.
Gastelum is also looking to recover from a loss when he went the distance against Israel Adesanya at UFC 236 for the interim middleweight title.
While no main event is set for their return to the World’s Most Famous Arena, the rumored headliner will be Colby Covington getting his long-awaited shot at Kamaru Usman’s welterweight championship.
Lined-up for the ESPN+ PPV card is Johnny Walker and Corey Anderson’s title eliminator at light heavyweight and Derrick Lewis’ return to MSG to face off against Blagoy Ivanov.
