Glenn Jennings, who manages Tim Tszyu, is working hard to arrange a fight with Jermell Charlo, the undisputed world champion, for a Las Vegas event in July.
In a major milestone, Tszyu achieved a ninth-round knockout victory over Tony Harrison, the former WBC world champion, which was the most significant win of his career.
Initially, Tszyu was scheduled to fight Charlo, but due to the hand injury suffered by the champion, the contest had to be rescheduled. But now the fight could be on.

“I’m thinking early to mid July would be ideal. Obviously we’re bound by Charlo’s recovery, but I do understand he’s back in the gym so there is every chance the fight is going to be earlier than everyone initially expected. And I know given what happened tonight, Tim and Igor (coach Goloubev) will want to keep rolling,” said Jennings to Fox Sports.
According to Jennings, the upcoming fight between Tszyu and Charlo has gained more significance and credibility following Tszyu’s victory over Harrison, who is the only person to have beaten Charlo so far.
And that was precisely the sentiment being expressed on social media, with fans suggesting an upset could be possible, particularly since Charlo has been largely inactive.

Charlo is the favourite and rightfully so, but Tsyzu is a live underdog with a real chance of springing an upset.

Not fought in nearly two years and almost 33. Tszyu wins easily

How does Charlo get and keep 4 belts when he only fights once per year?? Is he dodging everyone? He's only won 2 fights in the past 3-years. He should take a fight or announce his retire. Tim Tszyu is ready for him.
