Timur Valiev To Face Jack Shore On March Fight Night Card
Timur Valiev is taking Umar Nurmagomedov’s place in the fight against Jack Shore.
While the Nurmagomedov-Shore bout was never officially finalized, Valiev has confirmed to step in to face unbeaten bantamweight prospect Shore for the March 19 Fight Night.
According to an earlier report from MMA Fight Universe, both participants confirmed the upcoming fight on social media.
Shore, 26, has never lost an MMA match.
He joined the UFC roster in September 2019 and has since won four consecutive fights, the first two via submission. All of the Welshman’s recent triumphs have been decided by decision.
Valiev, 31, will attempt to halt Shore’s unbeaten streak, which began in February 2016. The Russian has won his previous two UFC fights by decision, most notably a decision victory over Raoni Barcelos at UFC Fight Night 190 in June.
Here’s what the lineup looks like so far:
- Francisco Figueiredo vs. Jake Hadley
- Luana Carolina vs. Molly McCann
- Cody Durden vs. Muhammad Mokaev
- Makwan Amirkhani vs. Mike Grundy
- Jack Shore vs. Timur Valiev
