Title Fight Added To Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders Card
A championship bout has been added to the Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders undercard.
On May 8, Canelo and Saunders will go one-on-one with 168-pound gold at stake. Canelo will put the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring Super-Middleweight Titles on the line. Saunders will be defending the WBO gold.
That isn’t the only title fight set for the card, however. The vacant IBF Featherweight Title also hangs in the balance. Kid Galahad and Jazza Dickens will throw leather for the vacant championship. Galahad made the announcement on his Twitter account.

The IBF gold became vacant after former champion Josh Warrington relinquished the title. Warrington cited frustration with the IBF over not agreeing to approve a title vs. title showdown with either Xu Can or Gary Russell Jr. After vacating the championship, Warrington suffered an upset TKO loss to Mauricio Lara.
The Canelo vs. Saunders card will be held inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Over 60,000 fans will be allowed in the building. Eddie Hearn has claimed that Jerry Jones has given him the green light to have even more fans attend if needed.
