Tom Aspinall Discloses Tyson Fury’s Training Request Before Ngannou Bout

UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall has revealed that he has been asked to train with Tyson Fury, as the latter prepares himself to face Francis Ngannou on October 28th, 2023.

The WBC heavyweight champion is a huge favorite going into the bout against Ngannou, who will be making his boxing debut.

Naturally, finding a sparring partner for such an opponent is not easy. However, Aspinall admitted that the heavyweight champion had approached him for help.

After all, prior to entering into the world of MMA, Aspinall did train alongside Fury. And that rapport has remained to this day.

“Tyson Fury is a master of what he does, and it’s going to be a tough night for Ngannou. I spoke to [Fury], he called the other day and he asked if I’ll help him with training and stuff. We’ll see how it goes, mate. I’ve got a busy schedule myself. So, we’ll be in touch again after my fight,” Aspinall said

But before Aspinall can think about that, the MMA fighter has his eyes set on overcoming Marcin Tybura at UFC London on July 22nd, 2023.

Aspinall’s last fight was a defeat to Curtis Blaydes, as he retired with a knee injury in the first round.

Meanwhile, Tybura is on a two-fight winning streak. So provided that Aspinall comes out unscathed, he could find himself helping Fury in a global crossover event.
