Tom Aspinall Returns To Stop Marcin Tybura In Just 73 Seconds
Tom Aspinall marked his return from a knee injury by stopping Marcin Tybura in just 73 seconds.
Aspinall had been out of the cage for around a year following his first-round-stoppage loss to Curtis Blaydes. And in the process of doing so, Aspinall’s injury stopped his five-fight-win streak.
This time around, though, things were different. Aspinall’s knee showed no trouble, as he began proceedings with a head kick. Tybura responded with a counter left. However, things soon turned into Aspinall’s favour.

An elbow, followed by a right hand, sent Tybura to the floor. Thereafter, Aspinall followed up with numerous punches as the referee stopped the fight.
Following his victory, Aspinall targeted a bout with Jon Jones.
Post-Fight Comments
“Jon Jones knows I exist, that’s a win in itself. I’m buzzing with that. I’ve been saying this all week, what I want to do is obviously win my fights going forward but I also want to motivate Jon Jones to stick around and fight me. That is my absolute dream mate, the thought of that. “I think I match up well against him. It’s a dream fight of mine.”
“I’m young, fresh, big, fast, strong . I can do everything well and I’m heavy, which is unlike a lot of his opponents who he’s fought in the past. I just think I bring something different to him, I think he knows that as well and he should know that moving forward,” Aspinall
