Tommy Fury Enters WBC Rankings After Defeating Jake Paul

WBC has added Tommy Fury to the cruiserweight world rankings after beating Jake Paul via split decision in February. He’s placed at number 39.

Tommy and Jake shared a two-year-long feud, which settled last month inside the ring. This was after Tommy pulled out of their scheduled bouts twice. They are in talks for a rematch, but for now, it’s Tommy’s time to rejoice.

With Tommy 9-0 (4 KOs) at #39, KSI’s former trainer Viddal Riley 8-0 (5 KOs) has been demoted to number 40 and this hasn’t sat well with the latter. “Damn. That’s crazy,” Riley said in response to the news.

He has also posted a YouTube video titled “My Message To Tommy Fury.” In the video, he questioned, “how WBC could grant a world ranking for this contest?”

With his recent win, Tommy is likely to either take on Salt Papi or KSI in the near future, and this had Riley perplexed as well.

“It should be me nah? After those rankings, he shouldn’t be thinking about them man but I get it,” he said.

Riley also claimed that he is the first-ever YouTuber to be world ranked by a professional boxing governing body.
