Tony Ferguson is reportedly in talks to sign up to the Global Fight League.
Ferguson has lost eight MMA fights in a row, the latest of which was a defeat to Michael Chiesa in August. Dana White said it would be Ferguson’s final fight regardless of the result. Ferguson suffered a first-round submission loss, leaving one glove in the Octagon. That was an indication Ferguson would retire.
But he reversed his decision immediately in the post-fight comments, saying he would continue fighting. His last victory was in 2019 when he beat Donald Cerrone at UFC 238. Reports now indicate he could sign with the Global Fight League. The promotion has already signed former UFC fighters Tyron Woodley, Luke Rockhold, and Paige VanZant. Former UFC lightweight Kevin Lee says Ferguson could join that list.

“I’ve heard a couple of names tossed around, the one that interests me the most is Tony Ferguson,” Lee told Helwani. “He’s had his ups and downs in his career but we’ve had a great fight for the UFC championship and I think that’s something that a lot of people can get behind and that’s a fight that I really, really want. He’s in talks with them,” Lee
