Tony Ferguson Slams Conor McGregor & Dustin Poirier: ‘They’re Both B*tches’
Tony Ferguson doesn’t have kind words for Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier at the moment.
McGregor and Poirier appear destined to fight in early 2021. Both men had been teasing competing in an exhibition match for charity. The UFC ended up offering both men the fight for January 23. While McGregor and Poirier have verbally agreed to the fight through social media, no contracts have been signed.
One person who isn’t jumping for joy over a potential rematch is Ferguson. “El Cucuy” spoke to MMAFighting.com and went off on the “Notorious” and “The Diamond” for trying to put a rematch together.
“They’re both b*tches. They want to play their f**king grab ass game and go play boxing. We don’t play MMA. This is completely different. You guys don’t want to play this kind of ball league.
“You want to take Conor’s f**king bribe money to go an open up your academy while you should be saving your money, paying it, donating your time and all this other stuff. You should have had your academy already. You’ve been fighting for years. That’s some bullsh*t excuse to not want to fight.”
McGregor and Poirier collided back on September 27, 2014. McGregor scored the first-round TKO victory in the featherweight encounter. Both men have gone on to have successful careers. McGregor went on to become a UFC “champ-champ” and the biggest star in MMA, while Poirier became an interim UFC Lightweight Champion and is considered to be a fan favorite thanks to his fighting style and humble attitude.
Ferguson is waiting for his chance to get back inside the Octagon. He is coming off his first defeat since May 2012. He was riding a 12-fight winning streak before being stopped by Justin Gaethje via fifth-round TKO back in May at UFC 249. Ferguson hadn’t been beaten in eight years.
